Sales Manager, Seattle WA

Our client is looking for a Sales Manager for their headquarters in Seattle. You will be leading the sales organization for the company as well as improving the KPI’s, working with the marketing team, and updating the website and social media. There are 3 Sales Reps as well as an Inside Salesperson on your team. You will also have the opportunity to hire another 1-2 Sales Reps for the team. You will be a part of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.

  • You will work closely with the sales team to ensure maximum productivity and develop new business.

  • You will follow up on existing leads, and work with the Inside Salesperson to assign those leads to the appropriate Sales Rep. You will be instrumental in increasing the reoccurring revenue of the company with new sales and enhancements of the services provided to existing customers. 80% of their business is commercial businesses.

Fast forward a year, what will you be doing?

  • Your sales team has increased revenues for the company.

  • You are meeting and/or exceeding the revenue goals. You have increased the recurring revenues from existing customers.

  • You have a strong partnership with the Operations team, working closely to address any customer issues or concerns.

  • Your Sales Reps ensure their new customers & new installations are completed, satisfied, and there are no past due balances after 90 days.

  • You and your team are staying up to date on new products, trends, and regulations in the industry.

  • You and the team attend the appropriate networking events, prospecting new customers, follow up on customer referrals & leads as well as attend trade shows, job fairs, and other community events.

  • Your team is compliant with all rules and regulations in the fire, safety, and alarm industry. Your team is happy. You are happy.

How will you get there?

30 days:

  • Meet the business line leaders as well as your team

  • Introduce their software products: WeSuite, Core Values, Teams, SharePoint & Zoom

  • Attending the weekly sales meeting with the leadership team

  • Leading the 5-minute pulse check calls with your sales team

60 days:

  •  Weekly sales meetings are established

  • Been in the field with each of your sales reps

  • Updating the policies and procedures; reviewing and updating the KPIs to meet the revenue goals for 2024

  • Meet the majority of the top commercial clients

  • Updating the training programs

90 days:

  • Working closely with the Operations team

  • KPI’s are updated & implemented

  • Product vendors are scheduled to train the team, training on new products or enhancements

  • Your sales team is compliant with entering leads, prospects, customers, job proposals and related activity in the CRM

What you will need:

  • Built and managed a high-performing sales team

  • Experience in the service industry, service contracts with reoccurring revenue streams

  • Built training programs

  • Improved KPI’s & produced reports to continue to drive better results

  • Partnered with marketing to identify the right controls for social media

  • Ability to travel locally

  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational & time management skills

  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, understanding of government regulations in the industry

  • Partnering with contractors, working on bids, understanding the codes

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Fire safety experience a +

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
