Our client is looking for a Chief Revenue Officer, CRO, for their headquarters in the Seattle area. You will own, lead and grow all of the company’s revenue streams. You have ultimate accountability for driving revenue growth by leveraging and aligning all revenue-generating departments including Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience and Customer Success.
You will develop growth strategies within the executive team and board of directors. You will drive best-in-class e-commerce presence, combining cost-effective technologies with deep, relevant, and informative content. You will develop appropriate metrics to ensure accountability. Since you own the revenue stream, you will have a deep understanding of the pipeline and adjust as necessary to continue the growth. You will partner with the leaders of the world’s largest sporting goods companies to grow our client’s category into an international phenomenon.
Fast forward a year, what will you have achieved?
You have established the long-term strategy including revenue forecasting. You know the processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement to success. You have strong customer satisfaction scores. You have added new sales channels and 3rd party resellers as well as have a fantastic relationship with existing vendors. Procurement is aligned with sales projections. You are leveraging customer research to provide strategic leadership for brand architecture and positioning. How will you get there?
30 days:
You are working hand in hand with your predecessor
Absorbing the business, their model, as well as learning the industry
Starting to synthesize what is important and what is not
90 days:
Own email production
Partnering with the team to understand the nuts and bolts of the business
You understand the levers of the business and getting comfortable with how the business is being executed
6 months:
You understand the business and know the industry
You have met and have a solid working relationship with the major vendors
You are the Subject Matter Expert, talking on Podcasts as well as other streaming events
You have an opinion on the business and have recommended some new strategic initiatives
You have suggested improvements around resources, channels, & other revenue streams
You are ready for the spike in business for the upcoming holidays
What you will need:
Demonstrated ability to articulate and deliver a strong revenue and profit growth strategy
Successfully managed and grown multiple ecommerce strategies
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate the company vision and the revenue strategy across all relevant functions to endure the right goals are defined and met
Proven track record of creating strategy product roadmaps, marketing positioning and competitive advantages
Expertise with data and metrics to report on the health of the business and products
Experience driving at least $15M in revenues
Knowledge and experience of the Amazon sales environment, both FBA & FBM
