Fred Hutch Cancer Center is looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition for their corporate headquarters in Seattle. You will lead the Talent Acquisition team including the operations and support practices to achieve the executive, faculty and staffing needs for the organization. There are 27 people on your team. This is a growing, dynamic team that will be supporting over 5,000 employees. Fred Hutch and Seattle Cancer Care just merged so we they are aligning the Talent Acquisition function of the 2 entities. This includes executive, faculty, clinical, technical, administrative and scientific hiring. You will ensure operational best practices and data insights will drive strong performance of your team to support the business.

One of the biggest focus and efforts for Fred Hutch Cancer Center is to promote and implement diversity, equity and inclusion talent initiative and principals into the recruiting strategy. You will partner with the business line leaders, your team and the VP of DEI to create those strategies. They have a great foundation as well as have the tools in place to help you & your team be successful, so you are not starting from scratch.

30 days:

 You know all of the HR team including the specialist and partnering with them

 Understand your team, develop/realign/adjust focus as necessary


6 months:

 You know your clients and their business; who the key players are

 Your team is aligned & in place

 Your team is executing from the same playbook; there is consistency across the entire organization

 Your client groups know what to expect from your team


What you will need:

 10 years + Talent Acquisition/ Recruiting experience

 7+ years leading a Talent Acquisition team

 Proven success managing diverse Talent Acquisition teams across multiple business lines

 Accomplishments creating and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies (DEI)

 Ability to manage, prioritize, track multiple efficient workflows to drive accountability

 Outstanding communication, collaboration and relationship building skills with partner across the organization

 Ability to generate organization and recruiting insights through talent acquisition data and reporting to support recruiting activities and goals

 Strong knowledge of relevant federal and state labor and employment laws
