Fred Hutch Cancer Center is looking for a HRBP Manager in Seattle. You and your team will own the clinical side of the business, serving the business line leaders in patient care, community, and pharma; for a total of 1500 people. You will be managing 2 other Business Partners. You are a strategic, client facing leader that will guide your team of HR Business Partners and work closely with employees at all levels.

As the Manager, HR Business partner, you will provide leadership to your team. You will support, guide, mentor, motivate and inspire your team to deliver a high level of HR support. You will align HR programs with organizational strategy, in addition to supporting and guiding your team. Using your consultative skills, you will guide and support business leaders to bring the best experience and solutions to employees while actively identifying opportunities to improve the business, proposing and implementing change to mitigate risks. As a trusted advisor leader, you will support the employee experience by ensuring that your team understands the policies and practices to provide tailored solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client population. This includes leading trainings, facilitating sensitive conversations, and making recommendations for an optimal employee experience. As part of a growing and evolving organization, you will guide, mentor and partner with management to advise on change implications and people impacts of organizational programs and initiatives.

How will you get there?

30 days:

 Meet your team as well as the business leaders

 Start to understand the client side of your business as well as the current climate

 You are absorbing and aligning quickly

 Access to all the systems

90 days:

 You are visible to leadership

 You understand the business model and are comfortable with it

 You know all of the HR team including the specialist and partnering with them

 Starting to create your 6 month staffing plan

6 months:

 You have completed your 6 month staffing plan

 You know your clients and their business; who the key players are

 Identify any ER issues

 Understand any staffing issues, helping mentor or create alternative plans

What you will need:

 8-10 years related to HR experience including working as a HRBP

 Clinical, Hospital or Healthcare experience

 5 + years managing people

 Demonstrated experience in multiple disciplines of Human Resources and knowledge of relevant labor and employment law

 Successfully drove action through influence without authority

 Ability to effectively navigate and operate in ambiguous situations

 Created and led DEI initiatives
