Our client is looking for an IT Manager in Seattle. You will be the right hand to the CEO, helping move the organization forward technically. You will have the ability to implement new products and recommend upgrades when needed. This is really a big picture thinker, so you have to have suggestions, ideas and the curiosity to align the technology to the company. Therefore, you are a true partner to the business. 

You will be working with all the customer service and technician devices, managing, and improving them. Looking into the current software, analyzing the software to report back to the leadership team is essential to the success of your job. Ideally, they would like to move into the cloud. When that happens, you will lead that project. You will maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, laptops, desktops, software, and network hardware. You will analyze the business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs. You will be selecting and managing IT vendors. This includes selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software when necessary. Managing identification of security vulnerabilities and developing the remediation plans is imperative to protect the company. Developing and executing disaster procedures and maintaining the data backups is critical. You will be editing and updating their Standard Operating Procedures and How-to documentations. 

Fast forward a year, what will you be doing?

You are a true partner to the business. The company’s devices have been audited. You know where they in the lifecycle; do they need to be replaced? You know your inventory & their expiration. New accounts are integrated into their centralized system. The phone systems are incredibly complex however you are managing them seamlessly. Every system is connected back to this system. You have identified opportunities to move to the cloud vs. physical system. You have created the 5 year roadmap for the technical infrastructure of the company. You have an excellent relationship with your vendors including the software vendor. You have identified and improved technical processes. You are the technical SME for the company, therefore, sought out by your peers.  You are happy. You love your job!

How will you get there?

30 days: 

  • Meet the business line leaders, technicians, and customer service reps

  • Start to get the know the central system

  • Inventory the equipment

60 days:

  • Meet all the vendors

  • You are starting to create the documents for all the devices

  • Reviewing the current sales software to analyze & make recommendations

  • Visited a few key customer sites to understand their network

6 months:

  • All equipment is inventoried

  • Identified options for the Cloud

  • Starting to create your 5 year technical roadmap

  • Have visited the other offices

What you will need:

  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills

  • Successfully worked in IT Management, infrastructure & equipment

  • Exceptional problem solving skills

  • Proficient maintaining computer hardware, software, cabling and support and IT security

  • Highly skilled in MSFT software including Window Server & Office 365

  • Experience with enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring

  • Expert with implementing, configuring and testing technology solutions

  • Call Center environment or security industry/monitoring a +
