Our client is looking for an Inventory Director for their corporate office in the Greater Seattle area. This is a new position based on the growth goals of the company. As the Inventory Director, you will be at the helm of the inventory operations, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods. Your strategic vision will support the mission to deliver unparalleled customer service and achieve operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Purchasing, Planning and Operations to set and meet inventory targets that align with the business goals.

You’ve taken the sales forecasts and converted them into clear, actional demand statements for all resources, understanding and managing materials and inventory with a blend of scientific precision and artistic finesse.
Your exceptional communication skills have fostered strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and support for inventory and production plans. 30 days:
Meet your team and business line leaders
Connect with the Sales, Customer Service, Engineering & Operations teams
Begin assessing the current state & its drivers
Visit all the production sites: North Carolina, Texas, Arizona & Sultan
Train with the Master Scheduler & Planning Manager on the operating system
60 days:
Grasp the priorities & drivers for Sales, Planning & Operations team
Collaborate with the VP to define the future state & compare to the current state
90 days:
Develop a project roadmap to transition from the current state to the future state
Identify the key players essential to achieving this transition

What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, & experience
Minimum of 5 years in materials management with a deep understanding of its principles & practices
Proficiency in manufacturing ERP systems & MSFT Office Suite of products & database programs
Exceptional written & verbal communications skills with the ability to convey complex
Information clearly & effectively
Waterworks industry a +
Preference given to Certifications in Demand Driven Planner, Demand Driven MRP, APICS CPIM
Warehouse & Distribution management experience preferred
