Our client is hiring a National Sales Manager in the Greater Seattle area with a visionary attitude to steer all outside sales operations for the company. As the industry evolves, we need someone who can pioneer innovation, adapt to dynamic market conditions, and ensure their products and services consistently exceed expectations. As the strategic leader of the Sales team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future.

In this role, you'll lead a team of 15-20 sales professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and integrity. Reporting to the VP of Sales, who also manages the inside sales team and marketing, you'll spearhead the growth initiatives in alignment with the organization's expansion goals. Ideally, you'll be groomed as the successor to the VP of Sales.
Under your leadership, you will be continually evaluating market dynamics and adjusting strategies accordingly, from pricing to product offerings and staffing levels. You'll be hands-on with your team, building and nurturing relationships with existing and new customers, including engineers, municipalities, and distributors. Representing our client at national industry events and conventions, you'll showcase their latest innovations and solutions and conduct product demonstrations when needed. Additionally, you'll analyze sales data and projections to inform strategic decision-making and budgeting, manage international customer accounts, and identify new market opportunities.

How will you get there?
30 days:
Meet the leadership team and complete the customized onboarding program
Get to know your regional managers, start meeting key customers, and familiarize yourself with the product line
90 days:
Visit and meet with area managers, conduct ride-alongs, and understand all clients and customers
Get up to speed on industry trends and the company's culture and processes
6 months:
Develop the strategic playbook for the team and set strategies aligned with the company's 2-5 years
Contribute to the team's success, utilizing your industry and people knowledge, and travel to meet your team
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Successful strong record of building and running a book of business
Managing a team of Sales Professionals with a track record of managing, mentoring & helping grow their book of business
Deep knowledge of the distribution industry, selling through distribution channels
Self-awareness, curiosity, problem solver, collaborator
Proficiency in Oracle, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.
Previous experience with other waterworks companies (distributors, municipalities, contractors, etc.) is a +
